How We Use Your Information We use your data strictly to make Rock Identifier work better for you: To identify rocks, minerals, and gemstones from your photos To save specimens to your personal collection To provide geology expert assistance through our chatbot To improve app performance and troubleshoot bugs To respond to your support requests Your data is not sold or rented. We only use it to power the features you interact with. 3. Third-Party Services We may use secure, vetted third-party tools to: Process your rock images and generate AI identification results Power our geology expert chatbot functionality Provide analytics on app usage (e.g., crash reporting) These services are only permitted to use your data to support Rock Identifier and are contractually required to protect it. 4. Image Data Policy What We Collect: Rock Identifier uses your rock and mineral images solely for identification purposes. No personal biometric data is collected from these images. How It's Used: Your rock images are used to provide accurate identification results. If you save specimens to your collection, only the images you choose to save are retained. Third-Party Sharing: Rock images are never sold or shared with third parties. If a third-party processor is used for identification, the image is transmitted securely and processed according to our privacy standards. Retention: Rock images are retained only during the identification process unless you explicitly save them to your collection. Users may delete any saved specimens at any time. Deleting your account removes all personal and image data permanently. Storage Location: Images may be temporarily processed on secure servers but are not retained beyond processing unless saved by the user. 5. Data Security We use encryption, secure servers, and technical safeguards to protect your data. While no method is 100% secure, we actively monitor and protect against unauthorized access. 6. Your Rights You control your data.
